A dog sits
in the middle of a dirt road
on a foggy day in German woods
waiting patiently and I...
I look in wonderment at how
easy for her to be that way,
to possess such patience,
such faith that the soul
she waits for
will soon appear when wanted
and they will walk forward
into a brighter day.
