Two videos from the Trump siege of LA today:
1) As far as the cellphone’s camera can see, marchers are line dancing in sync step for step while the police, federalized National Guard, and the U.S. Marines bristle with arms and equipment for battle.
It reminds me of the Martha and the Vandellas giant Motown hit song in the 1960s during the siege against Civil Rights marchers intended to bring down the heat. Marvin Gaye was co-writer and drummer on “Dancin’ in the Street.”
This dance vs. big bad Trump’s multilateral troops shows the greatness of heart of the townspeople in the face of the mad escalation by that grown up toddler.
2) A tall, grown white man of that special breed of American white men dressed in Jan 6th clothes while wearing all the police paraphernalia hanging from his belt going through a young girl’s pockets. She stood there, back to the camera, still and silent, her hands handcuffed behind her back.
Just another white male supremacist demonstrating his officious “authority” over a defenseless girl who can’t be over 12 years old.
It reminds me of the stories a few years ago about young black children in elementary school being thrown to the ground by police brought in to do… well, what? A child seated at his or her desk is somehow a danger to a grown, armed white man in a police uniform?
Let these two videos show how low the MAGAs have taken the United States of America.
Let these two videos be archived to show the true mettle of the Trump II administration as its most representative stature along with the photo of “the Gulf of America” prominently displayed in Trump’s garish Oval Office, the tote sheet Trump held up for how tariffs were assigned to different countries, J.D. Vance insulting Greenland, Germany, Ukraine, Zelenskyy and anyone else who comes in contact with him, and the sudden betrayal and debasement against a prized, elegant, civilized neighbor to our north.
Top off that catalogue of shame with all the notes and papers associated with Trump’s “Big Beautiful Bill” now proudly going through the process of stealing the food, healthcare, and support for those of little fortune so that the billionaires may gain another round of tax cuts to go the stock market, not the economy as a whole.
Welcome to the 60's! We fought for our rights and freedoms! And we could protest peacefully! But we were still arrested!
