New and Improved Rebranding (Shhh…Totalitarians R Us)

This isn’t hard to understand. A historically “prime” demographic losing its place at the top demands to remain there. It’s all gone wrong and those taking up arms and flag-bedecked pickups and Trump swag are not taking it anymore. 

31% of the American population are white men. Republicans are 29% of the population without a breakdown along gender and race/color lines. Off the top of my head, let’s assume 85% of GOP federal House and Senate members are white males. 85% x 29% = 24.65% of the U.S. population in a democracy that assumes, by definition, majority rule. 

So they’re just another set of DEI candidates. 

“Why no,” they say. “We are the white guys.” Translation: “We are the default identity for humanity. We’ve always been the default. Therefore, we cannot possibly be part of DEI’s inferior candidates.” 

For too many years, we have a minority sector of white men who are bigots bent on retaining or, if need be, recapturing that primacy by any means necessary. They’re used to being the default, not DEIs. But there it is. DEIs like everybody else. 

The primacy of this minority of white men isn’t based on talent. Nor brains. Nor ability. And truthfulness was tossed out long ago before the book-burning pyre was laid. Book burning merely sets the “Newspeak” in stone.

That primacy is based solely on the limited palette of humanity’s targeted gender and racial varieties of physical accessories. But those differences! So vital to keep them above and apart from the rabble. “Obviously.”

Trump’s incessant repetition of “The Big Lies” has beaten us beyond tolerance for this 9-year trip down the escalator. We’ve witnessed elected “adults” fall all over themselves to seek favor from an ignorant, amoral, narcissistic, sadistic, grasping little man as he fleeced the country and his voters.

We need not recap the list of Trump’s lies, felonies, misdemeanors, impeachments, and trials. They’ve worn deep creases into our brains. Given all the help he gets from up and down the political, financial, and business infrastructure, we’ve identified the notorious hired enablers and we hanker after some justice, which won’t likely come from the supreme court (sic).

What to women is so singular about both the top and bottom of the GOP ticket is their “thing” about us. The top guy routinely gropes, assaults, peeps, and rapes women. The bottom guy hates working women, “cat ladies,” and opposes divorce insisting that women stay in abusive marriages “for the sake of the kids.” Well, that’s really just a free pass to beat his wife when he feels ornery. 

The current joke is that this ticket swears they’ll protect women. That’s the pre-vote promise. Post-election, that promise will soon vanish, mimicking the Taliban’s takeover, should they win. After all, this is only a matter of animal husbandry.

Then there’s the rest of Project 2025, Ttump’s suggestion of a police “wilding” episode to beat up various Black folks who’ll be charged with breaking various laws. Or more likely, it’ll be those whom the stalwart MAGAs are willing to point the finger at just for kicks. 

Who needs courts and the DoJ? Scrap those departments as wasted money that could pay dividends by sending those sums back to the kitty earmarked for tax cuts to the very wealthy and the corporations.

All those “rights” in the Constitution? Forget ‘em. Free speech for the few, enforced state religion by a minority numbering about 5%, unfettered gun use under “stand your ground” wherever you may be standing - doesn’t matter where. 

And no overtime for workers, no worker protections, no education department. Kids not in charter schools will be directed to a path as minor leaguers for wartime cannon fodder. 

We can look forward to a corps of newly appointed federal agency employees trained in abject fealty to our new emperor. Who needs oversight expertise?

Add a surveillance state monitoring women’s reproductive cycles and “inferior” men who complain about the leadership and there you have it. Primacy recaptured.
